I can’t believe how bad I feel for Brainstorm after this last issue. Centuries of planning probably the biggest project he’s ever undertaken, risking completely fucking up timelines, all for the sake of saving an unrequited love, and having it all come crashing down in failure.

He could really use a friend right about now.

So I decided to see to that.

So it isn’t any secret that I have a thing for these two but regardless of how you see it, these two are friends on some level. And because we haven’t exactly seen Nautica lately I have a small headcanon that at some point she dropped by the brig to pay Brainstorm a visit. It may have originally been to find some closure and hear from him exactly why he did all the things he did, which obviously would’ve left a bad impression. But I also imagine that hearing his exact reasons might change a few things.

And sometimes, there’s not much you can do to console a friend other than be there for them.

[ a tiny tidbit about the process - I was blasting Run and New York by Snow Patrol the entire time, just in case anyone wanted to hear what mood music I had going. Run because it’s been a MTMTE song since issue 16, and New York because Sigma suggested it. ]

MTMTE ISSUES 1-37 HUMBLE BUNDLE GIFT CODE GIVEAWAY

So, I have a Gift Code from Humble Bundle for all of the MTMTE issues/volumes (1-37), that I want to give away to someone. I know there are people out there who have been wanting to get into the series, but simply cannot spare the monetary funds to buy all the volumes/issues to start reading.

So this is for you. All you have to do is:

1. Be genuine. I want to give this code to someone who honestly does not have a lot of money to buy comics right now, where you can’t afford to spend $5 on anything other than food (basically if you can spare $5 for comics, then please go ahead and buy the set directly from humblebundle.com/books)

2. Really Want This. Honestly, if I give you the code and you give up on the series halfway through, it’ll break my heart, ok? MTMTE means a lot to me, and I want to be sure the person getting the code REALLY wants this.

3.Reblog This Entry. That’s it. You don’t need to follow me, and I will not count Likes. Deadline will be Sunday 8 March, 12Noon GMT. Once the deadline is past, I will pick a blog at random and contact you via an Ask.

3a. While not compulsory, it would be nice if you could tell me in your Reblog how you came to know about MTMTE and/or why you’d like to get into the series.

3b. If you want to Reblog this to help promote the giveaway (please do) and don’t want to be counted as one of the entries, just say “signal boost” in the tags or something.

At the moment I have only one code to give, however if the response is good, and I am financially able to, I might grab a couple more sets to donate.

Do make sure you have the correct device and software that will allow you to read digital comics. Check the Humble Bundle site for the formats their comics are compatible with. Basically, if your computer, tablet or phone can read PDF, ePub or CBZ, you’re good.

And hey, if any other longtime MTMTE fans would also like to grab a set and donate to the fandom, please feel free :D
